- Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a cake pan.
- Peel, core, and dice the pears into small cubes. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
- Add melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
- Incorporate flour and baking powder. Add milk if needed for a smoother batter.
- Fold in diced pears gently with a spatula.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 35–40 minutes.
- Check doneness with a knife; it should come out clean. Let cool before serving.
Notes
Use ripe but firm pears for best texture. Lightly coat fruit pieces in flour to prevent sinking. Dust with powdered sugar before serving for an elegant finish.
